Advantage/disadvantage only applies to single d20 rolls (e.g.
1d20+5) — two dice are rolled and the higher or lower one is taken, as in D&D 5e. A natural 20 or 1 on a d20 shows a critical success/failure.

What does D&D dice notation 2d6+3 mean?
The number before d is the dice count, after it the side count. 2d6+3 = roll two six-sided dice, add the pips, then add 3. Possible range: 5–15. More complex formulas like 1d20+1d4+5 are also possible.
What are advantage and disadvantage?
A D&D 5e mechanic for d20 rolls: with advantage, you roll two d20s and take the higher; with disadvantage, the lower. Represents situational pros and cons (good positioning, poor lighting). Only works with a single d20.
Are the dice truly random?
Yes. The roller uses crypto.getRandomValues() — the browser's cryptographically secure random source. Unlike Math.random(), it's unpredictable and suitable for fair rolls.
